The Irish punk band Fontaines D.C. taught us how to combine poetry with a strong and fast instrumental base. Their arrival to Spain marked the beginning of the European tour, where they presented their debut album Dogrel.

Barcelona’s sold out show was a total blast. Grian Chatten came on stage opening with “Hurricane Laughter” and forming a mosh pit during the first seconds of their show. The crowd was going wilder with every song they played next: “Checkless Reckless”, “The Lotts”, and “Sha Sha Sha” – this one had the entire room repeating those words over and over again.

They continued with “Television Screens” and “Roy’s Tune” to slow down a bit. The latter showed the most tender side of the band and generated a very memorable moment when people sang along “Hey love, hey love, are you hanging on?”.

Then the band rolled with Dogrel's hit “Too Real”, followed by “Televised Mind” and “Liberty Belle”. Grian's tambourine got broken, so he handed out pieces of it to the crowd.

The band continued with one of their hits “Boys in the Better Land”. The audience did not seem tired, as the fans continued moshing and crowdsurfing. Fontaines D.C finished their show with “Big” delivering a sweaty, intense and unforgettable experience.
